We enjoy the short walk to the library, farmer’s market, and downtown shops and restaurants, no worries about where to park the car. We love the style and craftsmanship of the home, inside and out. The house is sunny, bright and filled with original, intact woodwork, built-ins, and wood floors. We find it restful and uplifting to look at the architecture of the house and admire that which is well-made and beautiful.
Many summer afternoons and evenings we have enjoyed sitting on the front porch swing reading or talking and gently swinging. The house has picture molding throughout which makes re-arranging the wall art a snap, no holes in the plaster, just move the hooks and hang the picture in a different spot. The large, open basement has been the woodworking shop, with lots of space for tools, shelves, and supplies. Built-in bookcases, drawers, vanities, and cabinets offer loads of storage while contributing to the character and charm of the home. Beveled glass adds a classy touch.
