  1. This is a fine old home! I don’t know why it was so cheap? It didn’t look like it needed that much work. Maybe electrical? I would have loved to have gotten my hands on this place! Maybe also there was going to be a lot of work needed to restore it back from being used as apartments. I hope the new owner gives it the respect it deserves! Just beautiful!

  2. While these type of homes are more common in the East they simply don’t exist in the western part of Canada. The stonework would have been prohibitively expense here as most houses were simply wood framed. In our town you couldn’t buy anything but a trailer in a park for the asking price of this old mansion. I’m a retired Hotel owner and a Red Seal Carpenter with many restorations of vintage structures in my past and would just love to work on this home but it’s so far away and as it’s in the USA I’m not allowed to work down there. I hope someone gets the heat on in that home before the elements destroy it.
